Dubai Launches Massive Campaign to Provide Cooling Relief for Outdoor Workers

Sat, Jul 4, 2026(4h ago)UAE

As temperatures soar across the UAE, the third installment of the "Al Freej Fridge" campaign has officially kicked off to provide essential support for those working under the harsh summer sun. By deploying refrigerated vans across the city, the initiative aims to distribute 2 million servings of cold water, juice, and ice cream to construction laborers, delivery riders, cleaners, and landscaping crews. For the workers, these refreshing treats offer more than just a momentary escape from the heat; they serve as a meaningful reminder that their hard work is acknowledged and valued by the community.

Organized by Ferjan Dubai in partnership with MBRGI, Suqia UAE, and the UAE Food Bank, the campaign is scheduled to run until September 3. This expansive effort goes beyond a simple charitable act, as it leverages specialized logistics and a dedicated volunteer network to ensure that vital hydration reaches various job sites throughout the emirate. By prioritizing the health and well-being of the workforce, the program continues to grow in scale, reflecting the nation's core values of compassion and social responsibility during the year’s most grueling weather conditions.
