The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially launched a cutting-edge artificial intelligence system designed to streamline bus operations across the city. By leveraging advanced machine learning and real-time optimization algorithms, the new "Decision Support System" can dispatch buses in under a minute, a massive improvement over the previous process that required up to an hour. This technology is specifically engineered to sync seamlessly with other public transit networks, including the Dubai Metro and Tram, ensuring a more cohesive travel experience for commuters.

Beyond just speed, the platform is capable of monitoring a fleet of over 1,100 vehicles while managing 26 different operational scenarios simultaneously. According to Marwan Al Zarooni, Director of Buses at the RTA’s Public Transport Agency, this initiative represents a major step forward in the city’s broader mission to become a global leader in smart mobility.
