UAE stands with Morocco after thwarting major terror plot
The United Arab Emirates has officially voiced its strong condemnation of recent terrorist plans that were successfully intercepted by Moroccan security forces. Earlier this week, Moroccan authorities executed a series of precise, intelligence-led raids across multiple cities, resulting in the arrest of ten individuals with ties to the Daesh branch operating in the African Sahel. Among those taken into custody were a minor and a former convict, all of whom were allegedly plotting to disrupt public order and threaten the safety of residents and national infrastructure.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, praised the swift action and vigilance of Morocco’s security services for neutralizing the threat before any harm could be done. In a formal statement, he reaffirmed the UAE’s unwavering support for Morocco’s sovereignty and its proactive measures to maintain regional stability. Emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy toward extremism, the UAE called for deeper international cooperation to effectively combat the persistent threat of terrorist organizations that seek to undermine global security.
