Ticketless Parking Now Live at Major Yas Island Destinations

Tue, Jul 7, 2026(45d ago)UAE

Yas Island has officially transitioned to a seamless, barrier-free parking experience at three of its most popular spots: West Yas Plaza, Yas Bay, and Yas Marina. In collaboration with the parking operator Parkonic, the island has ditched physical tickets in favor of advanced license plate recognition technology. Drivers can now enjoy a smoother arrival and departure process, with fees conveniently handled through their Salik accounts, the Parkonic app, or on-site QR codes. It is important to note that traditional cash payments and parking machines have been phased out, so visitors should ensure their payment methods are set up before exiting.

Each location follows a specific pricing structure, with some offering complimentary time for visitors. At West Yas Plaza, the first hour is free every day, while Yas Bay and Yas Marina provide three hours of free parking upon validation, with extended six-hour windows available for gym and beach club guests. Standard rates apply for additional time, including overnight charges and extended stays. Visitors are urged to maintain an active, funded Salik account or utilize the alternative digital payment options provided; failure to settle these fees can lead to fines or legal penalties, so it is best to stay informed on the specific rules for each venue.
