Ajman’s New Dh1.8 Billion Urban Development Plan
Ajman has officially unveiled its ambitious "AM30x30" urban agenda, a massive Dh1.8 billion initiative designed to transform the emirate’s infrastructure and public landscape. Spearheaded by Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, the plan encompasses 30 key projects aimed at modernizing the city’s road networks, expanding cycling tracks, and implementing critical stormwater drainage solutions. This comprehensive roadmap aligns with the Ajman Vision 2030, with specific targets to boost road connectivity by 43 percent and increase cycling infrastructure by 33 percent within the next few years.
The development plan is broken down into five distinct packages that prioritize both functionality and environmental aesthetics. Beyond structural upgrades—such as the revitalization of major roundabouts, street widenings, and the construction of new pedestrian bridges—the initiative places a heavy emphasis on sustainability. Plans include the addition of 330,000 square meters of new parks and community spaces across various residential areas. By enhancing irrigation and planting along key streets and walking trails, the government aims to increase the per capita share of public facilities to 4.79 square meters, ensuring that Ajman remains a vibrant, green, and highly accessible home for all its residents.
