UAE Denounces Damascus Bombings Following Attack During Macron’s Visit
The United Arab Emirates has officially condemned the twin terrorist bombings that recently rocked Damascus, leaving 18 people injured. In a formal statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its firm rejection of all acts of violence and terrorism intended to destabilize the region, while extending its heartfelt wishes for a swift recovery to those affected by the explosions.
The blasts occurred near the Four Seasons hotel shortly after French President Emmanuel Macron’s motorcade departed for a meeting with Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa. Despite the security incident, which involved two devices hidden in a vehicle and a trash can, Macron continued his diplomatic schedule, later praising the resilience of the Syrian people. While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, Syrian authorities are currently investigating the incident, which occurred just outside the security cordon established for the visiting French delegation.
