Dubai Taxi Company Expands Reach with Major Acquisition
Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has officially finalized its full acquisition of National Taxi, marking a pivotal step in its growth strategy following its initial public offering. With all regulatory nods from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) secured, this deal cements DTC’s dominance in Dubai with a 59 percent market share while simultaneously granting them a solid 12 percent foothold in Abu Dhabi.
This merger creates the UAE’s largest taxi operator, boasting a combined fleet that now surpasses 9,500 vehicles. DTC expects the transition to be financially beneficial immediately, bolstered by the operational synergies gained from bringing National Taxi’s 2,700-vehicle fleet under its umbrella. CEO Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi highlighted that the move is not just about scale but about building a robust, multi-emirate mobility platform, with the company now shifting its focus toward full integration to ensure long-term value for its shareholders.
