Emirati Graduates Offered Prestigious Two-Year Placements at the World Bank
The UAE has officially launched a new opportunity for its citizens, inviting Emirati graduates to apply for the World Bank Group Explorers Programme. This initiative, which was formalized earlier this year, will select an initial cohort of over ten young professionals to work on live development projects at World Bank offices globally. Running for a two-year period, these placements aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application, allowing participants to work alongside international experts on critical issues ranging from digital development and AI to environmental sustainability and economic policy.
Interested candidates have until July 15 to submit their applications through the World Bank Group’s official careers portal. To be eligible, applicants must hold UAE nationality, possess a bachelor's degree, demonstrate fluency in English, and be prepared for international relocation. The programme, which is supported by several national entities including the UAE Aid Agency and ADGM Academy, offers a unique pathway for Emirati talent to contribute to global development solutions while gaining professional experience in diverse regions, including cities across South America, Africa, and Europe. Those selected will undergo a rigorous interview process followed by an orientation in September before beginning their two-year assignments.
