UAE Stands in Solidarity with Flood-Stricken Bangladesh

Mon, Jul 13, 2026(4h ago)UAE

The United Arab Emirates has officially extended its heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Bangladesh following the devastating floods triggered by relentless monsoon rains. Through a formal statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE expressed its deep sorrow for the loss of life and the widespread destruction caused by the disaster. Offering support to the families of the victims, the nation also voiced its hopes for a swift recovery for those injured during these challenging times.

The humanitarian crisis in Bangladesh has reached a critical stage, with torrential downpours causing deadly landslides and flooding across seven major districts. Authorities report that at least 44 people have lost their lives, while hundreds of thousands of households remain isolated and stranded. Rescue operations are currently hampered by severe infrastructure damage, including power outages and submerged roads, leaving local communities struggling to access food and essential supplies as they deal with the aftermath of the rising waters and thick layers of mud.
