Dubai RTA Enhances Public Bus Network with New Routes and Strategic Updates
Starting July 17, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to roll out significant improvements to the city’s public bus network. By introducing four brand-new routes and refining 13 existing ones, the authority aims to streamline connectivity between major residential neighborhoods, bustling business districts, and essential transit hubs. These strategic updates, which include better integration with the Dubai Metro, are based on data-driven assessments of current passenger demand and evolving travel patterns across the emirate.
The expansion includes new services such as Route 35 and the 37A/37B lines, which will facilitate easier travel between International City, Dubai Silicon Oasis, and Dubai Internet City. Simultaneously, the RTA is optimizing efficiency by rerouting several lines and extending Metro Link services to ensure better "last-mile" coverage in areas like Nad Shaba and Al Barsha South. By shortening certain routes and adjusting alignments to avoid traffic bottlenecks, the RTA intends to reduce overall travel times, offering a more reliable and sustainable transit experience for Dubai’s residents and visitors alike.
