Dubai’s RTA to Auction 150 Premium Number Plates

Fri, Jul 17, 2026(1h ago)UAE

For motorists eager to personalize their vehicles with exclusive registration numbers, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced its 83rd online auction. Starting July 27, bidders will have a five-day window to compete for 150 premium plates featuring three, four, and five digits. These plates cover a wide array of categories, including private cars, classic vehicles, and motorcycles, with various letter codes available such as A, H, L, S, and Z. Registration for this event officially opens on July 20.

To join the bidding, applicants must hold an active Dubai traffic file and pay a non-refundable participation fee of Dh120. Additionally, a security deposit of Dh5,000 is required, and all winning bids will incur a 5 percent VAT charge. Interested participants can register through the RTA website or by visiting Customer Happiness Centers in Umm Ramool, Al Barsha, or Deira. Once the auction concludes, winners are expected to finalize their payments within 10 working days, with flexible options available including online portals, credit card payments, or certified cheques for larger sums.
