Pakistan Consulate in Dubai to Suspend Services for Maintenance

Fri, Jul 17, 2026(1h ago)UAE

The Pakistan Consulate in Dubai has issued an official notice informing its citizens that all consular services will be temporarily suspended this Wednesday, July 17. The closure is due to essential maintenance work being conducted by UAE authorities at the consulate building. To ensure residents are not left without support during this brief interruption, the mission has provided an emergency contact number reachable via phone or WhatsApp for any urgent matters.

Normal operations are scheduled to resume on Monday, July 20. In other news regarding official documentation, Pakistan is reportedly moving toward a complete transition to an electronic passport system. While machine-readable passports are expected to be phased out in favor of the new e-passport technology, authorities have yet to announce a specific timeline for this shift.
