Beat the Heat: How You Can Hand Out Free Ice Cream to Dubai’s Outdoor Workers

Fri, Jul 17, 2026(45d ago)UAE

As the summer temperatures soar, the Spread Kindness Volunteering Team is inviting UAE residents to join their mission to support blue-collar workers across Dubai. Now in its second year, the "Beat the Heat with the Cool Treat" initiative aims to provide a refreshing moment of relief to over 19,000 laborers working outdoors. What began as a small group of friends in 2015 has officially evolved into a Community Development Authority (CDA)-registered mission, focusing on expressing gratitude to the individuals who build and maintain the city's infrastructure.

If you are interested in making a difference, you can register to volunteer directly through the CDA Volunteer Portal or the DubaiNow app. Volunteers join the team on-site, where they distribute ice cream to workers during their breaks, creating a unique opportunity for connection and appreciation. For those unable to volunteer in person, the team offers a way to contribute through the AES Community Care Club, ensuring that every donation goes directly toward purchasing refreshments. Whether you have a few hours to spare or wish to support the cause through a donation, this heartfelt campaign serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of dignity and community spirit in the UAE.
