Etihad Park to Officially Debut as NYCFC’s Permanent Home in July 2027
New York City FC is set to begin a historic new chapter on July 17, 2027, as they officially open Etihad Park. Located in Willets Point, right next to the iconic Citi Field and the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, this 25,000-seat venue serves as the club’s first purpose-built stadium. This move ends years of the team rotating between various venues, finally providing the club with a soccer-specific home that anchors them firmly within the New York City landscape.
The naming rights agreement with Etihad Airways deepens a relationship that dates back to the club's inception in 2013, when the airline served as a founding partner. This partnership mirrors the airline's high-profile involvement with Manchester City, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s expanding influence in the global sports arena. Beyond Major League Soccer matches, the state-of-the-art facility is designed to be a versatile destination for the city, intended to host a diverse array of international sports, live concerts, and community-focused events year-round.
