UAE School Introduces Pioneering Motorsport Academy

Tue, Jul 21, 2026(6h ago)UAE

Starting in the 2026-27 academic year, the GEMS School of Research and Innovation (SRI) in Dubai is launching a specialized Motorsport Academy designed for students in Years 4 through 9. This innovative program goes beyond traditional athletics, offering a comprehensive curriculum that blends racing with practical skills in engineering, data analysis, simulation, and business strategy. By holding weekly sessions at the prestigious Dubai Autodrome, the school aims to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world application, tapping into the UAE’s burgeoning status as a global hub for racing and automotive technology.

Joshua Levenson, Director of Futures at GEMS SRI, emphasizes that the initiative is built to capture the interests of a modern generation that engages with motorsport through gaming, digital innovation, and technology. The academy serves as a unique platform to teach leadership and problem-solving while exposing students to the diverse professional landscape behind the scenes of professional racing. Whether a student aspires to be a driver, a software engineer, or a marketing expert, the program provides a tailored environment where passion-driven learning prepares them for future careers in a rapidly evolving global industry.
