Ras Al Khaimah has defied regional geopolitical headwinds, welcoming a record-breaking 670,000 visitors during the first half of 2026. This impressive performance was largely anchored by a surge in domestic interest, which saw a 47 percent year-on-year increase in local arrivals. With May standing out as the busiest month in the emirate’s history, RAKTDA CEO Phillipa Harrison noted that these figures prove the destination's resilience and its cemented status as a premier choice for short getaways.

Looking ahead, the emirate is rapidly expanding its infrastructure to sustain this momentum. Major projects like the highly anticipated Wynn Al Marjan Island are progressing toward a 2027 debut, bolstered by new hospitality additions such as Rotana’s The Mangroves and the SAIJ Mountain Lodge. Beyond hotels, Ras Al Khaimah is investing heavily in long-term connectivity and unique experiences, including advanced road networks, upcoming air taxi services, and even an astronaut training program. With massive developments like RAK Central Square in the works, the region is well on track to meet its ambitious goal of attracting 3.5 million annual visitors by 2030.
