On July 23, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Abu Dhabi to establish a Joint Consular Committee. This new initiative underscores the long-standing fraternal bond and strategic partnership shared by the two nations, signaling a dedicated effort to deepen their cooperation across multiple sectors, with a primary focus on refining consular operations.

The agreement is designed to streamline consular workflows and elevate the standard of services offered to citizens in both countries. By fostering this collaborative framework, the UAE and Jordan aim to ensure more efficient and effective support for their respective nationals. The signing ceremony brought together representatives from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs alongside Omar Al Atoum, the Consul General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, marking a significant milestone in their ongoing bilateral relations.
