Etihad Rail’s First Passenger Stations Revealed: Connecting Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Fujairah
Etihad Rail has officially identified the first three hubs that will kick off its highly anticipated passenger services, scheduled for a 2026 launch. According to Adhraa Almansoori, the company's Director of Commercial, the network will initially connect the Madinat Zayed station in Abu Dhabi, the Jumeirah Golf Estate station in Dubai, and the Fujairah station. While the Fujairah terminal is already fully prepared, teams are currently applying the finishing touches to the Abu Dhabi and Dubai facilities to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety and operational reliability before the first passengers step on board.
Designed to travel at speeds of up to 200 kmph, the train will make the trip from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah in just 105 minutes. Beyond the technical efficiency, the service aims to revolutionize the UAE’s transit landscape by offering a stress-free alternative for commuters and a comfortable travel experience for families. By focusing on sustainability and comfort, Etihad Rail intends to integrate itself into the daily routines of residents, ultimately supporting broader national goals in tourism, real estate, and economic growth across all 11 planned regions.
