Seeking redress for his suffering, the victim initially filed a civil lawsuit requesting Dh300,000 to cover his mounting medical expenses, lost income during his recovery period, and the lasting emotional toll of the incident. After reviewing the medical evidence and the established criminal fault of the defendant, the court concluded that Dh150,000 served as a just settlement.
