Emirates Adjusts Flight Schedules to Shanghai and Hangzhou Due to Typhoon Dolphin

Sun, Aug 9, 2026(1h ago)UAE

Emirates has officially issued an advisory warning passengers of significant travel disruptions for flights connecting Dubai to Shanghai and Hangzhou. Due to the dangerous path of Typhoon Dolphin, which is expected to make landfall along China’s east coast, the airline has been forced to reschedule multiple services to ensure the safety of its passengers and crew. Chinese authorities have already begun emergency preparations, including the closure of local ports and the suspension of ferry services, as the region braces for the impact of the storm.

Travelers booked on affected routes should prepare for changes to their itineraries, as the airline expects further operational adjustments depending on how the weather develops over the coming days. Specifically, flights such as EK302, EK304, and EK305 to and from Shanghai, as well as the Hangzhou-bound EK310 and EK311 services, have undergone timing shifts. Emirates strongly encourages all passengers to monitor the real-time status of their flights through the airline’s official website or mobile app before heading to the airport, as ongoing weather conditions may lead to additional last-minute schedule changes.
