UAE President Grants Pardons to 956 Inmates Ahead of Eid Al Adha
In a compassionate move to mark the upcoming Eid Al Adha, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 956 prisoners from correctional facilities nationwide. To ensure these individuals can successfully transition back into society, the President has also committed to settling the outstanding financial obligations associated with their cases. This generous initiative is designed to provide families with the joy of reuniting during the holy occasion while reinforcing the core values of forgiveness, social stability, and communal harmony that define the nation’s leadership.
Following the President’s humanitarian lead, several other rulers across the emirates have issued similar pardons to mark the festival. The Ruler of Ajman, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi, has directed the release of 230 inmates, while the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, has ordered the release of 227 prisoners. These efforts collectively emphasize the UAE's commitment to rehabilitation, offering these individuals a meaningful second chance to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to their communities.
