UAE weather forecast: Rain showers predicted alongside 45ºC heat
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted fair to partly cloudy skies across the UAE for Wednesday, August 12. While the day will generally remain pleasant, residents in eastern regions should prepare for potential convective cloud formation by the afternoon, which could bring localized rainfall. Winds are expected to be light to moderate, coming from the southeast and northeast at speeds between 10 and 25 km/hr, though these may pick up to 40 km/hr at times.
Despite the chance of rain, the country is bracing for intense heat. Major urban centers like Dubai and Abu Dhabi are forecasted to reach sweltering highs of 45ºC, while Sharjah will hit 44ºC. Overnight temperatures will remain quite warm, dipping only to the mid-30s. Throughout the day, humidity levels will fluctuate significantly, ranging from 15 per cent to 65 per cent across the coastal cities, while maritime conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain slight.
