Sharjah Road Diversion Set for Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed-Maliha Intersection
Starting Sunday, August 16, motorists in Sharjah should prepare for a temporary traffic diversion at the busy intersection of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street and Maliha Street. The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced that this change is part of a long-term project designed to upgrade the junction and ultimately improve overall traffic flow and infrastructure efficiency across the network. The construction and subsequent diversion are scheduled to remain in effect for an extended period, concluding on December 6, 2026.
To ensure safety and minimize congestion, the SRTA is urging drivers to strictly adhere to all posted traffic signs and follow the approved alternative routes highlighted on the official diversion map. Because construction zones can lead to unexpected delays, commuters are encouraged to plan their daily travels in advance and factor in extra time when navigating through this area to avoid potential frustrations.
