A new generation of Emirati teenagers is currently honing their skills as cultural guides at the iconic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Now in its 14th cycle, the "Little Cultural Guide" program is welcoming its second wave of summer trainees, with teenagers aged 15 to 17 refining their public speaking, leadership, and communication abilities. Since its inception, the initiative has successfully graduated 628 students, many of whom go on to pursue advanced roles within the center, ensuring that the mosque’s official tour guide team remains composed entirely of homegrown Emirati talent.

The training curriculum goes far beyond simple sightseeing, focusing on instilling a deep sense of national identity, Islamic art history, and the values of the UAE’s founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Participants like Hamed Al Naqbi and Mariam Al Bahri have expressed how the program has boosted their confidence and provided them with a newfound appreciation for their cultural heritage. By fostering intercultural dialogue and a sense of civic duty, the program serves as a bridge for young people to become effective ambassadors for the nation, helping them share the beauty of Emirati civilization with global visitors.
