UAE stands with Kuwait following arrest of Daesh-linked operative
The United Arab Emirates has voiced its unwavering support for Kuwait following the successful arrest of a local citizen linked to the Daesh terrorist organization. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, commended the Kuwaiti security forces for their alertness and professionalism in thwarting a planned attack on a key national facility. He reaffirmed that the UAE fully backs any steps taken by the Kuwaiti government to safeguard its sovereignty and protect its people from such threats.
Emphasizing that regional stability is interconnected, Sheikh Abdullah stated that the safety of Kuwait is deeply tied to the security of the UAE and the broader Gulf Cooperation Council. He reiterated the UAE’s firm stance against terrorism in all its forms, particularly those driven by foreign influence, and called for heightened international collaboration to combat extremist agendas.
