UAE weather: Foggy starts and cooling trends ahead
Residents across the UAE should prepare for a mix of fair to partly cloudy skies this Saturday, August 15. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has advised caution during the early hours, as red and yellow fog alerts were in place until 8:30 am due to visibility dropping below 1,000 meters. While conditions are expected to clear up as the day progresses, those traveling through northern and eastern regions may notice increased cloud cover at times.
Despite a slight dip in temperatures along the coastline, the country will remain sweltering throughout the day. Inland areas could see the mercury soar as high as 48°C, while Abu Dhabi and Dubai will likely peak at 44°C and 43°C, respectively. As evening approaches, humidity levels are set to rise, potentially leading to mist formation by Sunday morning. Winds will remain mostly light to moderate, occasionally picking up speed, while sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to stay relatively calm.
