UAE Weather Update: Rain Forecast and Fog Alerts for Residents

Mon, Aug 17, 2026(1h ago)UAE

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast a mix of weather conditions across the UAE today, ranging from fair and partly cloudy skies to potential rainfall. While temperatures are set to soar, peaking at 48°C in certain regions, there is a possibility of convective cloud formation in eastern areas by the afternoon. Residents in Dubai and Abu Dhabi can anticipate highs in the low 40s, with humidity levels fluctuating between 25 and 80 percent throughout the day.

As night falls, the atmosphere will become increasingly humid, raising the risk of mist and fog by early Tuesday morning. Authorities have already issued yellow alerts for several coastal and inland zones, warning motorists of plummeting horizontal visibility that may reach zero in certain spots. Meanwhile, light to moderate winds are expected to blow across the country, keeping sea conditions generally calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
