Fujairah Police Crack Down on Teen Reckless Driving and Late-Night Disruptions
With the summer break nearing its end, Fujairah Police have launched a proactive campaign to address a spike in dangerous road behavior and disruptive late-night gatherings involving teenagers. Following numerous complaints from local residents about street racing, stunt driving, and loud disturbances in residential zones, authorities are significantly increasing their patrols. This initiative focuses on high-risk areas, with officials confirming a zero-tolerance policy regarding traffic violations, unlicensed driving, and activities that jeopardize public safety.
While the police are boosting their field presence to prevent tragedies, they are also calling on parents to play a more active role in monitoring their children’s activities. Officers highlighted that the most effective way to curb these hazardous behaviors is through parental oversight, specifically by ensuring that unlicensed teens are not given access to vehicles and that their late-night whereabouts are supervised. By fostering stronger accountability at home and encouraging residents to report suspicious behavior, the police aim to restore peace and safety to the emirate's streets before the school year begins.
