Etihad Rail Rules: When You Can Be Removed from the Train
As Etihad Rail prepares to expand its network with the new Al Yalayis Station in Dubai, the operator has introduced a comprehensive Passenger Charter to ensure safety and comfort across the network. To maintain order, authorities are empowered to conduct random security checks and may ask passengers to disembark or leave a station if they violate established conduct guidelines. This includes individuals who cause excessive noise or disturbances, such as playing loud audio without headphones, or those who appear intoxicated or unfit to travel. Furthermore, if a passenger’s attire is deemed inappropriate or if their condition threatens to soil or damage railway property, staff reserve the right to deny them access to the service.
The Passenger Charter covers a wide range of behavioral expectations, including prohibitions on smoking, unauthorized commercial activities, littering, and aggressive or harassing behavior. Passengers are also expected to dress modestly, follow staff instructions, and ensure they do not endanger public health or safety. Should a traveler refuse to leave after being informed of a policy breach, authorized personnel are permitted to use reasonable force to remove them from the premises. Additionally, those who repeatedly travel without a valid ticket or commit serious violations may face a permanent ban from accessing all Etihad Rail services, underscoring the company's commitment to maintaining a secure and professional transit environment.
