Win Big by Creating Road Safety Films for Dubai’s RTA Competition
The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the second iteration of its Road Safety Film Festival, offering a creative platform for residents, students, and families to help make local roads safer. Between August 24 and November 22, participants are encouraged to submit short films that address critical driving issues like speeding, distracted driving, and the importance of seatbelts. By sharing real-life stories of accident victims or innovative ideas for better traffic behavior, entrants have the chance to win cash prizes totaling Dh240,000, with top honors in several categories earning as much as Dh30,000.
This initiative is a cornerstone of the RTA’s "Zero Fatalities" strategy, which seeks to reduce road casualties through community engagement and education. Beyond the prize money, winning films will be featured in official RTA awareness campaigns, workshops, and digital platforms, ensuring that these impactful messages reach a broad audience. With categories ranging from individual and student submissions to family-focused entries and corporate recognition, the festival aims to leverage the power of storytelling to foster a culture of safety across Dubai’s diverse population.
