Dubai Crown Prince Unveils Dh1.5 Billion Economic Stimulus Package
To bolster Dubai’s standing as a premier global business hub, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has greenlit a new Dh1.5 billion economic incentive program. This latest injection of support brings the total value of relief measures introduced by the emirate over the last two months to an impressive Dh2.5 billion. According to the Crown Prince, who is also the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, this second wave of aid encompasses 33 distinct initiatives slated for rollout over the coming year.
The strategy targets a wide array of sectors to ensure sustainable growth, including tourism, education, trade, and logistics. Key highlights include significant fee exemptions for hotels and restaurants, simplified licensing processes for small and medium enterprises, and flexible payment options for customs duties and educational institution renewals. By easing financial burdens—ranging from permit cancellations to civil aviation permit fees—Dubai is reinforcing its commitment to maintaining a competitive, business-friendly environment despite shifting global economic conditions.
