UAE Weather Update: Rain Expected Amid Rising Temperatures

Fri, Aug 21, 2026(1h ago)UAE

The National Centre of Meteorology has forecasted fair to partly cloudy skies across the UAE for this Saturday, August 22. While conditions will generally be mild, residents in the southern and eastern regions should keep an eye on the horizon, as convective clouds are expected to develop by the afternoon, bringing a potential for scattered rainfall.

As the day progresses, heat levels will climb steadily across the country. Abu Dhabi is bracing for a sweltering high of 46°C, while Dubai and Sharjah will see peaks of 40°C and 42°C, respectively. Nighttime will bring an increase in humidity, particularly along the coast, accompanied by light to moderate winds that could gust up to 40 km/h. Mariners can expect calm conditions, with slight sea states predicted in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
