UAE Unveils Unified Framework for Agentic AI-Driven Government Services
The UAE has officially launched a comprehensive, unified guide designed to transition government services toward an "agentic" artificial intelligence model. Introduced by the National Committee for Agentic Artificial Intelligence, this initiative marks a major evolution in public service delivery. Instead of forcing citizens to navigate complex portals, gather documents, and track status updates themselves, the new system aims to utilize intelligent AI agents that act on behalf of the customer. By managing the end-to-end processâfrom understanding a request to coordinating between different departmentsâthe government is shifting the burden of administrative work away from the public and onto its own automated systems.
This new framework emphasizes efficiency, transparency, and a human-centric approach. Under these guidelines, citizens will no longer be required to provide information that the government already holds, nor will they have to endure repetitive procedural loops. The guide mandates that these AI assistants must prioritize user privacy and security while ensuring that if a complex issue arises, a human employee can step in seamlessly without the customer ever having to restate their problem. Ultimately, the success of these AI agents will not be measured by the speed of their communication, but by their ability to successfully resolve the user's request from start to finish.
