Police are stressing that if a driver realizes they have missed their intended turn, the only safe course of action is to continue driving and take the next available exit rather than risking a dangerous maneuver in traffic.

This behavior is far from an isolated incident, as data from the UAE’s Ministry of Interior indicates that sudden swerving was the leading cause of traffic accidents in 2025, accounting for 905 reported crashes.
