UAE Leadership Commemorates Prophet’s Birthday with Message of Unity
As the UAE prepares to observe the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), the nation’s leadership has issued heartfelt messages emphasizing the importance of compassion, tolerance, and global harmony. President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan noted that this occasion is a profound time to reflect on the Prophet’s legacy, which continues to serve as a beacon of love and kindness for people across the globe. Joining in these sentiments, Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum echoed calls for peace and stability, wishing for the continued well-being of the UAE and the international community.
The official commemoration is set for Tuesday, August 25, 2026, following the recent sighting of the crescent moon. In recognition of the day, authorities have declared Friday, August 28, a public holiday for both the public and private sectors, granting many employees a welcomed three-day weekend. This break marks a significant moment for families as it falls during the final week of the summer holidays, just days before students head back to the classroom for the 2026–27 academic year on August 31.
