Dubai Weddings Initiative Supports Thousands of Emirati Families

Tue, Aug 25, 2026(1h ago)UAE

The 'Dubai Weddings' initiative has evolved into a comprehensive support system for Emirati families since its launch in early 2024. Beyond simply assisting with wedding celebrations, the program provides essential guidance, financial aid, and educational resources to ensure long-term stability for young couples. By August 2026, the Community Development Authority (CDA) reported that the initiative had successfully facilitated 2,898 weddings and supported the birth of 418 babies, earning a remarkable 99.3 per cent satisfaction rate from its beneficiaries.

Operating under the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Programme, the initiative offers a holistic approach that includes pre-marital counseling, housing assistance, and financial courses. Programs like ‘Start It Right’ and ‘Nawat Dubai’ provide ongoing support throughout the early years of marriage, helping couples navigate the practical challenges of building a home. With a streamlined digital experience integrated into the DubaiNow app and access to dedicated community venues, the initiative continues to be a pillar of support, aligning with the Dubai Social Agenda 33 to foster healthy, sustainable family life across the emirate.
