Tragedy in Sharjah: Seven-Year-Old Girl Dies After Falling from Apartment
A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Sharjah on Monday morning when a seven-year-old Indian girl, identified as Safa, lost her life after falling from her family's third-floor apartment in the Al Nabba area. According to her uncle, Mansoor Ali, the young girl was left unattended for only a few minutes while her father went to move his car and her mother was away at work. The family believes the Grade 2 student may have opened a sliding window to look for her father and accidentally lost her balance, leading to the fatal fall.
The loss has left the family devastated, especially as it comes just days after they returned from a joyous wedding celebration in their home state of Kerala, India. Safa, who was the only child of her parents, had recently spent a happy summer break with her cousins and was eagerly preparing to return to her school in Ajman. Sharjah Police have since confirmed that they are investigating the circumstances of the fall but have ruled out any criminal involvement, treating the event as a tragic accident. The family is now working through the necessary formalities and intends to lay the young girl to rest in the UAE.
