The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather forecast for Wednesday, August 25, predicting a mix of intense heat and localized rainfall across the UAE. While the day will start off fair to partly cloudy, residents should prepare for convective cloud development in the eastern and southern regions by the afternoon. These clouds are expected to bring some much-needed rain to parts of the country’s internal areas.

Despite the chance of showers, the overall climate remains scorching. Temperatures are set to climb as high as 48ºC in certain parts of the nation. Specifically, mercury levels in Abu Dhabi are projected to reach 45ºC, while Dubai and Sharjah can expect highs of 43ºC and 44ºC, respectively. Looking ahead to the night and early Thursday morning, coastal regions in the west should brace for increased humidity, which may lead to the formation of light mist. Additionally, while winds will generally remain light, they could pick up speed near cloud formations, potentially causing dust and sand to blow in some areas. Seas are expected to stay relatively calm across both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
