To better manage traffic flow and enhance student safety, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recently finalized infrastructure upgrades across six key school zones. Completed during the summer break, these improvements span areas including Al Barsha, Dubai Motor City, Wadi Al Safa 4, and Al Sufouh, directly benefiting over ten schools. Notable highlights include a new road connection between Al Qudra Road and Hessa Street to improve school access, a significant expansion of parking at Horizon International School, and the implementation of traffic-calming measures in Wadi Al Safa 4.

By performing this construction during the academic holiday, the RTA minimized daily disruption for commuters while accelerating the delivery of these critical enhancements. The authority emphasized that these projects are part of a broader mission to connect residential and educational hubs more efficiently. As students return to class, the RTA has reminded motorists, parents, and bus drivers to adhere to road safety protocols—such as using designated drop-off points and respecting stop signals—to ensure the daily school commute remains secure for everyone.
