Dubai is gearing up for a significant boost to its education landscape, with plans to launch 26 new private institutions for the 2026-27 academic year. This expansion includes seven new private schools—such as the highly anticipated Harrow International and Rugby School Dubai—which will introduce nearly 17,000 additional seats across UK and International Baccalaureate curricula. Furthermore, the emirate is strengthening its early childhood and higher education sectors by opening 17 new early childhood centers and two major university campuses, including the American University of Beirut’s Dubai branch and the Peking University HSBC Business School.

This robust development follows three years of steady 4.6 per cent growth across Dubai’s private education sector, highlighting the city's increasing appeal to both families and global educators. According to Aisha Miran, Director General of the KHDA, this rapid expansion aligns with the "Education 33 Strategy," which aims to foster a world-class learning environment. By attracting top-tier institutions and growing the teaching workforce by over 17 per cent, Dubai is not only meeting the rising demand for diverse educational choices but is also effectively positioning itself as a premier global hub for talent and academic excellence in line with its long-term economic vision.
