Sharjah emerged as a standout for road safety, boasting the lowest fatality rate at 1.78 per 100,000 residents and the fewest hit-and-run incidents. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi earned high marks for responsible driving behavior, largely credited to the lowest average driving speed in the country, which researchers attribute to effective traffic-control measures like zero-buffer speed policies.

Dubai secured its position as the leader in driver training and education, supported by an impressive network of 94 driving schools and high consumer satisfaction ratings. While the index offers a comprehensive look at how each emirate manages its roads, the researchers caution that findings for smaller emirates should be interpreted with care, as population size can disproportionately influence statistical rates. Overall, the data underscores a diverse approach to traffic management across the UAE, with each region excelling in different aspects of road safety and motorist development.
