In a show of solidarity, the UAE’s leadership, including Vice President and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also dispatched messages of condolence to the Nepalese government. Alongside these formal expressions of support, the UAE has pledged $10 million in humanitarian aid to assist the recovery efforts for those impacted by the disaster.

The tragedy, triggered by a glacier collapse along the Nepal-Tibet border, has left a trail of destruction, resulting in at least 392 confirmed deaths and over 1,400 individuals reported missing. Emergency crews are currently navigating treacherous conditions in debris-filled valleys to continue search and rescue operations. Both nations are closely coordinating to address the aftermath of the disaster, which sent massive quantities of mud, rock, and ice surging through the mountainous river systems.
