UAE Weather Update: Rain Forecasted Amidst High Temperatures
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted a mix of fair and partly cloudy skies across the UAE this Friday, August 28. Residents in certain regions should prepare for potential rainfall, as there is a strong possibility of convective cloud formations developing over eastern areas by the afternoon. Alongside these shifting skies, light to moderate winds will blow from the southeast to the northeast, occasionally picking up speed to reach up to 40 km/hr.
Despite the chance of rain, the country will continue to experience sweltering heat, with major cities recording high temperatures between 40ºC and 44ºC. Abu Dhabi is expected to reach a peak of 44ºC, while Sharjah and Dubai will see highs of 43ºC and 40ºC, respectively. Humidity levels will vary significantly, fluctuating between 25 and 75 percent across these urban centers. Meanwhile, mariners can expect calm sea conditions, as both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are anticipated to remain relatively slight throughout the day.
