Dh13-Million Diamond-Encrusted G-Wagon Steals the Show at Abu Dhabi Hunting Exhibition
The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Adihex) is currently playing host to some truly breathtaking displays, but none have captured attention quite like the Dh13-million "Carlex One of One Stallion." This masterpiece, showcased by Polish customizer Carlex, is a one-of-a-kind Mercedes G-Wagon inspired by the grace of Arabian horses. Its most striking feature is a roof crafted through a proprietary engraving process, involving seven layers of hand-brushing and the integration of 3kg of diamond dust. With gold-plated accents and a bespoke interior crafted from top-tier leather, the vehicle is a triumph of artisan engineering that took over 3,000 hours just to detail its roof.
Standing alongside this opulent display is the "Safari Grande Royal," a Dh4.7 million G-Wagon designed for those who want luxury in the wild. While the Stallion serves as a museum-grade showpiece, the Safari model is built for adventure, featuring rugged materials like Italian leather and crocodile skin, paired with functional outdoor gear such as integrated tents and umbrellas. Carlex, which has shifted its focus almost exclusively to the G-Wagon platform, aims to marry modern performance with a vintage aesthetic. By blending cutting-edge tech with meticulous craftsmanship, the company continues to push the boundaries of automotive customization, catering to a niche market that views these vehicles as works of art rather than mere modes of transport.
