Abu Dhabi Rewards Top-Performing Students with Free Transport Access

Sun, Aug 30, 2026(2h ago)UAE

In a move to celebrate academic excellence, Abu Dhabi has introduced a rewarding initiative for top-performing public school students. High school graduates who achieved a stellar grade point average of 95 percent or higher during the 2025–2026 academic year are now eligible to receive a free Hafilat card, valid for one year. Beyond the complimentary travel, Abu Dhabi Mobility has confirmed that these high-achievers will also benefit from expedited service at dedicated counters, ensuring a seamless experience when managing their transit needs.

The Hafilat card serves as the primary payment method for the emirate’s public bus network, offering a convenient way to navigate both local city routes and intercity travel without the hassle of purchasing individual tickets. While the system offers various tiers of cards—including anonymous, personalized, student, and senior citizen options—this new incentive underscores the emirate's commitment to supporting students. By simplifying the daily commute for those who excel in their studies, the initiative aims to make public transportation more accessible and efficient for the next generation of academic leaders.
