UAE weather: Scorching heat expected as temperatures hit 49°C
The UAE is set for another day of hot and largely stable weather this Monday, August 31, as reported by the National Centre of Meteorology. Residents should prepare for fair to partly cloudy skies throughout the day, though conditions will turn humid as night falls and rolls into Tuesday morning. Those in coastal and internal regions should remain cautious, as there is a notable chance of mist or fog developing during these cooler, damp hours.
Daytime temperatures are expected to climb significantly, with some inland regions bracing for a sweltering 49°C. Major cities will also feel the heat, as Abu Dhabi reaches a high of 44°C, while Dubai and Sharjah peak at 43°C and 42°C respectively. Accompanied by light to moderate winds that may kick up dust at speeds of up to 40kmph, the outdoor conditions will remain intense. Meanwhile, sea conditions across both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are predicted to remain slight, providing little relief from the inland heat.
