As the 2026-27 academic year gets underway, Dubai has officially welcomed over 8,000 educators into its private school system, marking a significant milestone in the emirate's vision for academic excellence. Recent data from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) reveals a steady upward trend, with the number of teaching professionals in the private sector growing by 17.5 per cent over the last three years. During a series of virtual town halls, KHDA Director General Aisha Miran praised this influx of talent, emphasizing that teachers are the true heartbeat of the city’s ambitious "Education 33" (E33) strategy.

To ensure these professionals have a direct hand in shaping future policies, Dubai is also launching the Dubai Educators Council. This 15-member body will provide a collaborative platform for teachers to share their classroom insights and influence the emirate's broader educational landscape. By fostering a culture of professional growth and cultural integration, officials hope to build a more inclusive and innovative learning environment.
