While the UAE Ministry of Defence confirmed that its air defenses successfully intercepted a drone originating from Iran over its territorial waters, it explicitly labeled claims of an attack on the base as false. This incident follows a period of heightened friction after the expiration of a critical regional memorandum, marking the first direct exchange of hostilities between U.S. and Iranian forces in over a month.

The situation remains volatile, particularly following a U.S. strike on Iranian missile launchers at Larak Island, which the Pentagon described as a defensive maneuver to secure the Strait of Hormuz.
