As schools across the UAE welcomed students back for the new academic year this week, the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority announced the successful completion of vital maintenance and development projects in the Al Jazzat and Al Hazana neighborhoods. These upgrades were strategically timed to accommodate the expected surge in traffic as buses and parents return to their daily routines. The project involved laying fresh asphalt and repainting road markings across significant stretches in both areas—covering 785 meters in Al Jazzat and 730 meters in Al Hazana—to ensure a smoother and safer transit experience for the local community.

These infrastructure improvements are part of a broader, ongoing initiative to modernize Sharjah’s road network and alleviate congestion during peak travel times. Complementing these local efforts, authorities have also boosted capacity on major routes like Emirates Road to ease travel between Sharjah and Dubai.
