UAE Weather Update: Fog Alerts and Forecasted Rain
Residents across the UAE should prepare for a mix of weather conditions this Wednesday, September 2, as the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued both red and yellow fog alerts for the early morning hours. Motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution on the roads due to significantly reduced visibility. As the day progresses, the skies are expected to remain fair to partly cloudy, with a chance of convective cloud formation in eastern regions that could trigger scattered rainfall by the afternoon.
Despite the potential for showers, the sweltering summer heat persists, with peak temperatures projected to hit 47°C in certain inland areas. Coastal cities will also remain hot, with Abu Dhabi reaching 41°C and Dubai hovering around 42°C. The night and early Thursday morning are likely to be humid, with a possibility of mist settling over internal and coastal zones. Winds will generally be light to moderate, though gusts up to 40kmph could stir up dust in western areas, and mariners should be aware that conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea may become rough at times.
